British dogs by David

                                                                  SHEEP DOG

Sheep dogs were first used to herd sheep. They are big and have a long fur! They are very good companions.

                                                          GOLDEN RETRIEVER

These dogs are very friendly,  intelligent and patient. They are good police dogs and guide dogs.

                                                              IRISH SETTERS

The irish setters are from Ireland. Setters are very active. They love runing  their fur is red and sometimes they are called red setters.

                                                       CORGIS

Corgis are from Wales. They are small and intelligent. Years ago they were used to help take cattle to markets. Now they are normally kept as companions. The British Queen Ellisabeth II has five Corgis.

                                                    BULLDOGS

Bulldogs are a symbol of Great  Britain. They have funny faces! But they are friendly and they love children. They prefer to be indoors. If you have a bulldog you need earplugs and the dog needs a bib: bulldogs snore and drool a lot.
